What People Are Saying

2nd Edition Announcement!

This second edition is a cleaned-up version of the first. For one thing, the editing is much better
so the careful reader will not be distracted by the many grammar mistakes, missing words, etc.
Also, the index, mysteriously missing-in-action from the first edition, is thankfully included in
this one. (The index for the first edition is on this website!)
I have been humbled and thankful for all the emails I’ve received following the publication of
the first edition. Any doubts that I had about whether this material is needed have been answered
by many therapists and IFS clients, e.g. one who wrote, “I just read your book and now
understand why I’ve been getting re-traumatized in my IFS therapy.”
IFS is a fantastic treatment model, and this book extends its use to the population of people with
complex trauma and dissociative disorders and to people who just need more support. Coping
skills help managers and other parts manage better, which in turn results in life being easier and
more grounded during the process of healing. I find this simply a kindness.
